Beginning in 2011, the Alzheimer’s Association began hosting public input sessions around the country in keeping with our commitment to giving the Alzheimer’s community an opportunity to shape the historic National Alzheimer’s Plan. And during the summer of 2012, the Association once again hosted dozens of events in local communities to continue our national dialogue.
This year we continue the tradition with town halls and Coffee with Congress events. These are excellent opportunities to build relationships with congressional and state elected leaders that will help create better public policy. These events will also allow you and your fellow members of the Alzheimer’s community to publicly voice your opinions about the impact that a successfully implemented National Alzheimer’s Plan will have on your lives. Contact your local Alzheimer’s Association chapter to find out about events in your area.
